Hello everyone,
I have been a doxiedad for many years, just sent one with kidney disease over the rainbow bridge recently. Almost all my Dachshunds have been rescues, and counting the 2 I have now that makes 17. You would think the older you get and the more dogs you lose, would get used to it and it wouldn’t bother you as much. It is worse, bothers me a lot more the older I get. I have rescued a lot of older Dachshunds, but if I get a chance I’ll like to get a young one even a puppy. I will always have a dog, most likely a Dachshund, always had one, had other dogs also but always had a Dachshund.
Take care everyone and be safe.
John
Hello John, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you. No matter what age they are…they are gone too soon. It is wonderful that you have given so many Rescue Dachshunds a loving home over the years. God Bless You and thank you for your message.
My wife and I love and have owned numerous dashunds. We currently have two long hair Daschund that are the love of our lives.
We are making out our wills and want to donate to significant money to organizations that help Dashund but want to make sure we support an organization or organizations that are trul wonderful and spend money wisely with low organizational costs. We are talking 6-7 figured donation. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Hi there, thanks for reaching out. Wow, that’s so wonderful that you have such a true love for dachshunds and would like to help support some doxie rescues. Here are some dachshund rescues that are very active on Facebook and I often share their doxies looking for a home on my Facebook page. Any of these rescues would be a great choice for you. Thanks so much for helping support these hard working doxie shelters, they will really appreciate it.

Sorry, I just posted about wanting to be a doxie mom again. I live in North Dakota, so it would need to be a location close to me.
I would love to adopt a doxie. My beloved doxie passed away a couple of months ago and I would love to be a doxie mom again.
Hi Laura, so very sorry for your loss. That is great that you would like to try to find a rescue. Per my online search, here is what I found that would be ‘close’ to you. I didn’t find many as you can see.
