I have had a dachshund in my life for as long as I can remember.  When I was a child, our family dachshund, Heidi, was a big part of my life for 16 years.

About My Doxies:

As an adult, two special dachshunds have been a part of my family for 14 years.

Reno is a male black and tan, silver dapple miniature dachshund who was with us for 14 wonderful years.  He really taught me everything I know about keeping a dachshund happy.
Bastian is a dachshund and beagle mix.  His mother was a tall beagle (half beagle, half coon hound) and his father was a miniature dachshund… yep, think about that for a moment, haha.

Eko joined our family in 2019.  He is a miniature dapple, piebald dachshund.  He loves to Run, Play, Eat and Bite.  He is keeping us on our toes!

Dachshund Station:

I have raised dachshunds for the past 20+ years. I created Dachshund Station in 2018 in memory of my dapple dachshund, Reno. He was my best friend and companion for 14 short years.
I have learned so much about raising dachshunds that I would like to share my experiences, advice, and recommendations to other dachshund fans out there.
Dachshund Station is an online resource dedicated to dachshunds and their owners. I aim to give the best advice on puppy training, exercise, canine nutrition, and overall dachshund care.
I provide a comprehensive list of Dachshund Rescues promoting adoption through shelters and rescue organizations.
While dachshunds are our main focus, I also provide helpful resources for dog owners through support articles regarding dog safety and health.

Please note, I am not a veterinarian. I have a lot of experience as a dedicated Dachshund mom and enjoy sharing what I’ve learned over the years. However, every Dachshund is unique and has their own specific needs, so I highly recommend consulting with your veterinarian for personalized recommendations for your furry friend.
